Timothy Poster resigns as COO of Wynn Las Vegas

Timothy Poster resigned as chief operating officer of Wynn Las Vegas on Monday, less than a month after he was promoted to replace Maurice Wooden. Wooden is president of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore.

Michael Weaver, senior vice president of marketing strategy at Wynn Resorts Ltd., declined to comment Tuesday. Poster and Tom Breitling were co-owners of the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas from 2004 to 2005 before selling the casino to Landry’s Restaurant Inc. for $140 million in cash and the assumption of $155 million of secured notes.

Poster and Breitling, along with Lorenzo Fertitta and Frank Fertitta III, established Fertitta Interactive LLC in 2010. The Las Vegas-based company launched Ultimate Gaming, which focuses on real money online games, social gaming and digital entertainment.
