Fishing Report, Nov. 15

■ LAKE MEAD - Striper action picked up this week for shoreline anglers in the Boulder Basin, while boaters in the Vegas Wash and the Overton Arm did well using lures, jigging and casting. The surface bite has been slow, and those using netted shad did better than those with anchovies. Smallmouth bass have been active near Stewart's Point.

■ LAKE MOHAVE - Fishing continues to be good for striped bass and catfish. Anchovies are catching the fish. Rainbow trout action has been good at Willow Beach after the weekly plant.

■ URBAN PONDS - Floyd Lamb Park received its first trout shipment Nov. 6, and Veterans Memorial Park is scheduled to receive trout this week. The key to catching trout is small hooks. PowerBait, night crawlers, salmon eggs, flies and spinners will catch the fish.

■ KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA - Rainbow trout action has picked up this week with cooler temperatures and recent fish plants. Temperatures have been plunging below freezing at night.

■ EAGLE VALLEY RESERVOIR - Despite cold temperatures, anglers continue to catch rainbow and tiger trout. The water remains open, but ice is being found along the shoreline early in the morning.

■ ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR - With the arrival of colder temperatures last week, the crappie and bass bites have shut down.
