Voter registration offices to be open through Tuesday night

Nevada residents still have time to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election if they visit their local registrar's office by 9 p.m. Tuesday.

In Clark County, expanded hours will allow people to register in person at one of two Election Department offices.

People can register from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. now through Sunday at the election department office on the first floor of the County Government Center, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. On Monday and Tuesday, the office will be open for registration between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The election department office at 965 Trade Drive, Suite A, in North Las Vegas will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Early voting will start Oct. 20 for those who are registered and prefer not to wait until Election Day.

Those who are not sure whether they are registered can find out by entering their name and birth date in the Registered Voter Service box on the home page of the department's website at www.clarkcountynv.gov/vote. Those without Internet access can call the department at 455-VOTE.
