B.B. King strumming the blues with Lucille

Las Vegas can be selfish when it comes to claiming Wayne Newton as its own. But longtime resident B.B. King really belongs to the whole country.

The blues guitar legend recently performed on an outdoor stage at B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center in Indianola, Miss., built on the site of a cotton gin where he worked as a teenager.

King, like Tony Bennett, is 86 now, and unlike Bennett he pulls up a chair to perform. But age has not diminished the electric voice of longtime guitar companion Lucille.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band, the happy union of married couple Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, share the bill at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hard Rock Hotel.
