A body found at the Clark County Water Reclamation Centeron Thursday afternoon was the groundskeeper who was swept away during a torrential downpour Tuesday.
There was some initial confusion about the identity of the man, Luis Lopez-Solis, 31, of Las Vegas, who also used the alias Calletano Lopez, 38. His family and police provided the media a different name and age, but police were able to correctly identify him using fingerprints.
Police said his body was found about 2:45 p.m. at the reclamation center, on Flamingo Road near Stephanie Street.
Lopez-Solis was last heard from about 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday when co-workers at Desert Rose Golf Course called his cellphone and asked him to return to the clubhouse. The man did not know how to swim. He was driving a tractor before he went missing.
Witnesses told police floodwaters at the golf course were as high as 12 feet..
