Motorist dies after crashing into parked semitrailer
One man died after his car struck a parked semitrailer in the northwest valley Saturday morning, Las Vegas police said.
The man, who died at the scene and has not yet been identified, was driving west on Gowan Road, east of Rainbow Boulevard, shortly after 6:30 a.m. when his 2000 Ford Mustang veered right and struck the rear of the tractor-trailer.
Officers are investigating the cause of the collision, which is the 74th traffic-related fatality for the Metropolitan Police Department this year.
