Fatal accident closes southbound Decatur Boulevard

A single-vehicle accident on Decatur Boulevard on Tuesday evening left one person dead, Las Vegas police said.

A police spokesman said a small truck was traveling south near Decatur and Sirius Avenue, north of Desert Inn Road, when the vehicle rolled and struck a light pole.

The driver was taken to University Medical Center but later died.

The southbound lanes of Decatur were closed while police investigated the scene.
