2 Backwoods Belle - Mike Mitchell off the claim is a tough hombre to beat; proven performer at this $25K class level.
4 One Magical Girl - After two straight wins, is kept basically at this same class; odd not climbing the claiming ladder.
Long Shot - 1 Warren's Morgan
Race 2 - 5 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Perpetua - Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; key vote comes from Joel Rosario.
6 Sudden Sunday - Was bet in debut and ran evenly; Mike Mitchell adding blinkers on for some focus and improvement.
Long Shot - 5 Aredhel
Race 3 - 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $62,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up
3 Rauschenberg - He may not have the class of some others; but he is a horse for course, won 3-of-4 over Inglewood sod.
1 Obviously - Exits a minor stakes for this third level condition; saves all the ground and will grind it out late.
Long Shot - 4 Venomous
Race 4 - 6 furlongs, Purse $33,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up
4 Solar Rocket - Ran like a dud in turf debut; he is proven over dirt and synthetics so expect a much better effort.
2 Itssultryinthecape - Brief 2-month respite; sharp win last out at Santa Anita, this is the same class of horse that he beat.
Long Shot - 6 Gallant Gent
Race 5 - 1 1/4 miles (turf), Purse $52,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
7 God Of War - Was flattered when Causeithertz won next out; A.C. Avila adding blinkers on, expect better in second U.S. start.
3 Stratify - Stretched out in last and showed much better early speed; could provide the target for the others to catch.
Long Shot - 5 Swift Eagle
Race 6 - 1 1/16th miles, Purse $36,000, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
6 Hurricane Lake - Upset special with a horse sliding down the claiming ladder; expect a more aggressive ride from Alonso Quinonez.
3 Special Kid - Tepid chalk runs first off the claim by Bill Spawr; tacitcal speed to sit a decent trip.
Long Shot - 7 Temerity
Race 7 - 1 mile (turf), Purse $54,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
7 Valley Cat - Miserable run in last; returns to turf and reunited with Rafael Bejarano, he is riding in great form.
5 Slammer Time - Afforded a big chance running for the cheapest price tag of his life; just needs to run one of his better races.
Long Shot - 3 He's Very Rare
Race 8 - 1 1/16th miles, $100,000 Affirmed Handicap, 3-year-olds
2 Gun Boat - Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor; this one has speed which is doing just fine in Inglewood routes.
3 Holy Candy - Always highly regarded by John Sadler, it's time to put up of shut up; been training forwardly for this.
Long Shot - 7 Liaison
Race 9 - 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $52,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Revered - Ran like a horse that needed a race in last; second start off a 15-month hiatus for Ron Ellis will be much better.
6 Wild Truffles - Logical chalk woke up with a career best race in last; maybe she is finally putting things together.
