Electric Daisy arrests stay low on second night

Arrests declined on the second day of the Electric Daisy Carnival as strong winds caused stages to close and fans to be denied entry at times, Las Vegas police said.

Day two of the music festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drew about 90,000 people and saw 12 narcotics-related felony arrests, four misdemeanor arrests and four misdemeanor citations. The arrests were reported between 6 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. this morning.

Police said during the first day of the music festival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway there were 30 felony arrests, one misdemeanor arrest and eight citations between 6 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Saturday. About 115,000 people attended the music festival's first day.

From Saturday night to early this morning, police reported 160 medical calls, up slightly from the first-day's activities of 135. Three people were hospitalized during the second night of the carnival. Six people were hospitalized on the opening night.
