Fire causes $425,000 damage to unoccupied home

A fire destroyed a house in the Las Vegas Country Club on Wednesday night.

Clark County officials said firefighters responded to a fire about 10:40 p.m. at an unoccupied home at 836 Vegas Valley Drive, south of Karen Avenue.

The two-story home was destroyed. It took about 75 minutes to control the blaze.

There were no injuries. Damage was estimated at about $425,000.

The fire remains under investigation.
