Champions Tour wins
Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge title
Kenny Perry made nine birdies and led the Champions Tour to the title at the Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge on Nov. 8 in Henderson. The Champions Tour team, made up of Perry, Jay Haas and Mark Calcavecchia, were a combined 15 under in the two-player, best-ball format that allowed each team to discard one score per hole. The group shot 8 under over the final nine holes to overtake the PGA Tour team of Boo Weekley, Gary Woodland and Jonathan Byrd, which finished at 12 under at the par-72 Rio Secco Golf Club.
Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr and Natalie Gulbis of the LPGA Tour also topped the PGA Tour threesome by going 14 under.
Idaho residents collect share of first-place money in Southwest Invitational
The third annual Southwest Invitational golf tournament in Mesquite concluded Nov. 18 with a field of 56 players competing on two golf courses.
Defending champions John Graham and Doug Hampton, both of Idaho Falls, Idaho, combined for a total score of 122, tying with northern Utah residents Clay Ogden of Farmington and Robbie Fillmore of Lehi to highlight the tournament that began Nov. 16 at the CasaBlanca Golf Club before winding up at the Palms.
The next Mesquite golf event will be the Nevada Open on Dec. 14-16 at the CasaBlanca and Palms golf clubs. Further information can be found by visiting www.nvopen.com.
Stallion Mountain reopens with special introductory rates
Stallion Mountain Golf Club recently reopened under new ownership and management. New introductory rates for Nevada residents are $55 Monday through Friday and $70 Saturday and Sunday during the month of November. OB Sports cardmembers receive rates of $49 and $55. Call 702-547-6601 for tee times.
Colorado management company Tartan Golf bought Stallion Mountain Golf Club in June, three years after it was closed by foreclosure. It chose OB Sports to manage the course, which is located at East Flamingo Road and Boulder Highway.

Golf Summerlin announces Black Friday deals
Golf Summerlin is pleased to welcome deal seekers on Black Friday, Nov. 25, the day notorious for creating a shopping frenzy among those looking to score big discounts on coveted items. The pro shops at both Highland Falls and Palm Valley will run specials throughout the day on everything from rounds to merchandise to private golf lessons.
