Man found dead on pedestrian bridge in Laughlin identified

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the man found dead Wednesday on a pedestrian bridge in Laughlin.

The body of Dwight Franklin, 54, was found about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday near Casino Drive and state Route 163. Police said he was probably homeless, and evidence suggests he had been in a fight before he was killed.

On Thursday, police arrested 39-year-old Walter W. Klatt in Bullhead City, Arizona, for an unrelated misdemeanor. He is awaiting extradition to Nevada to be charged in connection with Franklin’s death.
