Readers find maple cookies

One of my favorite things about writing this column is helping readers find the sort of obscure delights they remember from the past. That's the case with this week's maple-creme sandwich cookies, being sought by Lillian Blacketter. Fellow reader Suzanne Atfield found them at the Entenmann's/Oroweat bakery outlets, which are at 2548 Wigwam Parkway in Henderson and 5191 W. Charleston Blvd., and William Isaac found the Dare brand from Canada at Albertsons, displayed among the specialty crackers. ...

For Sally Otjen, who's looking for CJ Korean BBQ Sauce Bulgogi Sauce, Thong Bartlett found it at S&F Supermarket at 4801 Spring Mountain Road, and Doreen Marquez emailed that she finds it at Greenland Supermarket at 6850 Spring Mountain Road and 99 Ranch Market in China Town Plaza at 4255 Spring Mountain Road. ...

For Lorraine Yancoski, who's looking for hot peppers in oil, Libby Casolari recommended Glazier's Food Marketplace, 8525 W. Warm Springs Road. ...

For Kathy Salazar, Mary Ann Urbanski emailed that she found Wunderbar German bologna at the deli counter at the Walmart Supercenter at 2310 E. Serene Ave., and Karen Ericson reported finding it at the Walmart Supercenter at 5198 Boulder Highway. ...

For Kim Breseman, who's looking for frozen escargot, Helen Schussler of The Tovah Team said her company carries it, in garlic butter or puff pastry, at www.TovahCaviar.com. ...

For Stephanie Kinder, Bev Greer emailed that she finds various flavors of Diet Shasta at local 99 Cents Only stores. ...

For readers who are diabetic, Jim Guynup recommends the no-sugar-added peach cobbler at Black Bear Diner at 6180 W. Tropicana Ave. ...

For readers looking for Wisconsin cheese curds, Dave Singer emailed that he found them at the Walmart Supercenter at 4350 N. Nellis Blvd. ...

More on lasagna: Guynup recommended that served at Giuseppe's Bar & Grill, 6065 S. Durango Drive....
