John Ford Coley keeps legacy alive
July 8, 2011 - 1:00 am
The late Dan Seals may be equally known for his solo output as a country star, but John Ford Coley keeps the legacy of "England Dan" alive.
When England Dan & John Ford Coley went their separate ways after a run of soft-rock hits in the '70s, Coley embraced Christianity, acted and wrote music for TV and films. With Seals' death from lymphoma ruling out a reunion, hits such as "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" and "Nights are Forever Without You" are in his hands.
Coley sings at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Showroom at the Suncoast, 9090 Alta Drive. Tickets are $17.50-$44; call 636-7075.
