Woman hurt in rollover crash dies

A 31-year-old woman involved in a rollover crash last week near Craig Road and Revere Street recently died, North Las Vegas police said Monday.

The identity of the woman was not released.

Police said they were notified Monday of the woman's death from injuries sustained in the crash that occurred about 4 a.m. Sept. 12. It was unclear when exactly the woman died. She was being treated at University Medical Center.

Police said the woman was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer east on Craig at a high rate of speed. She struck a center median and lost control of her vehicle just before Revere. The Trailblazer left the road, struck a light pole and rolled over one to two times, police said.

Both alcohol and speed appeared to be factors in the crash. The crash is the sixth traffic fatality of the year under the jurisdiction of North Las Vegas police.
