Eddie D's Famous Italian Sandwiches moves to Rainbow Boulevard location
Eddie D's Famous Italian Sandwiches has moved from its former location on Cheyenne Avenue to 6870 S. Rainbow Blvd. in southwest Las Vegas.
The new location's hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

to those with july birthdays
McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon inside the Rio, 3700 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to host a special July birthday party July 16, offering birthday drinks from 10 p.m. to midnight to anyone born in July.
The first 15 people with July birthdays to walk through the door will receive a special McFadden's birthday gift.
Happy 2 Hours are planned from 8 to 10 p.m. for $15, with an open bar from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. for $20 for women and $30 for men. All local women will receive dollar drinks from 10 p.m. to close. Cherry and grape bombs will be $5.

Elements Kitchen & Martini Bar announces summer specials
Elements Kitchen & Martini Bar, 4950 S. Rainbow Blvd., is offering Ladies Night on Wednesdays. Women will receive a different promotion each Wednesday, including two-for-one martinis, a complimentary glass of wine or dessert with dinner or 50 percent off appetizers.
A three-course dinner is available for $21 on Monday nights. On Tuesdays, the seafood/fish special is $23 and includes a salad, vegetables and potato. Thursday's special is a glass of wine, a salad and a pasta entree for $21.
The restaurant recently unveiled its new martini list, featuring more than 400 martinis.

Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge opens at Town Square
Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge has opened at Town Square Las Vegas, 6605 Las Vegas Blvd. South, near Rave Motion Pictures.
A grand opening is scheduled for July 21. The 2,800-square-foot space features a full bar with 30 wines by the glass, 50 whiskies, sampler flights and signature winetails.
A small plates menu complements the wine and spirits, priced at $15 or less. It includes cheeseboards, flatbreads and a range of gourmet comfort food such as shrimp and grits, bacon-wrapped mini Kobe hot dogs, sliders and banana-Nutella crepes.
The patio features a fire pit, mister cooling system and lounge-style furniture. Televisions will show sporting events inside and on the patio.
The lounge is set to open at 3 p.m. daily, plus for lunch Thursday through Sunday. Daily happy hours are 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. and feature half off select flights, tasting plates and desserts.

The lounge plans to host barrel tastings, visiting producers, tastings and pairing dinners. The patio will be available for private tastings and special events.
Expansion plans for the fall include Bottles & Burgers by Double Helix, a 5,000-square-foot, double-terraced space at Tivoli Village at Queensridge. It will feature burger creations with half bottles of wine, bottles of beer and Double Helix's own line of old-school bottled sodas.

Les Kincaid to continue food and wine classes in july
Wine radio show host Les Kincaid plans to instruct a series of wine classes from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on specific days in July.
Summer Pastas is scheduled for July 12 at the Ferguson Bath & Kitchen Gallery, 4175 S. Grand Canyon Drive, No. 109. Learn how to make simple summer dishes, such as herbed vegetable and artichoke pasta, spicy snapper with linguini, orecchiette, cauliflower and prosciutto and spaghetti with grilled corn and chicken. The cost is $45 per person.
Beers is scheduled for July 13 at Total Wine & More in Boca Park, 730 S. Rampart Blvd. Sample beers and learn about their origins and history. The cost is $45 per person.
Organic Wines is scheduled for July 20 at Total Wine & More in Boca Park. Explore organic wine terms such as biodynamic and sustainable, the agricultural practices behind the terms and look at techniques for vinification and how it translates into what you taste in the glass. The cost is $45 per person.
Finally, Pizzas is scheduled for July 26 at Ferguson. Learn foolproof techniques for making pizza at home. The cost is $45 per person.

third annual DISH Las Vegas
Three Square food bank's third annual DISH Las Vegas event is planned from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Palms Pool and Bungalows, 4321 W. Flamingo Road.
The benefit will feature tastes from more than 20 Las Vegas restaurants and a special performance by the band Sugar Ray.

Bastille Day celebration
Marché Bacchus, 2620 Regatta Drive in Desert Shores, plans to celebrate Bastille Day with a special lakeside performance by the Las Vegas Skydiving Team at 7 p.m. July 14.
Bastille Day is a French national holiday commemorating the beginning of the French Revolution. A team of five expert skydivers plans to plunge into Lake Jacqueline, which is adjacent to the restaurant's back patio, while red, white and blue smoke streamers cascade in the air, honoring France's tricolor national flag.
A special menu prepared by chef Joseph Swan is planned.

'Les' Wines & Vines' to broadcast
at Lake Las Vegas
Les Kincaid plans to bring his radio show "Les' Wines & Vines" to Lake Las Vegas' La Contessa yacht for a live broadcast on July 14.
The event will feature handcrafted appetizers, celebrity wines and a live broadcast while cruising around the 320-acre lake.
Space is limited, and advance reservations and payment are required on or before Thursday. The cost is $69 per person or $125 per couple (includes pre-show soiree, appetizers and wines, broadcast and cruise from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.).

Ron's Steakhouse at Arizona Charlie's Decatur, 740 S. Decatur Blvd., is serving a three-course dinner special through July for $31.99 per person.
It includes a complimentary glass of chardonnay, merlot or white zinfandel wine or bottled beer. Starter choices are soup or salad, and entree choices are 8-ounce filet mignon, pan-seared salmon, chicken Oscar or osso bucco. Each entree is served with a choice of Ron's special potatoes au gratin, baked potato, garlic mashed potato or risotto-sytle orzo pasta. Menu items to honor outgoing Mayor Oscar Goodman
Ron's Steakhouse at Arizona Charlie's Decatur, 740 S. Decatur Blvd., owned by former Las Vegas Mayor Ron Lurie, plans to honor outgoing Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman with special menu items beginning on Wednesday, Goodman's last day in office, and running through Sunday.
Chicken Oscar will be $12, plus tax, which is half off the regular price. It is a tender chicken breast garnished with white asparagus, crab meat and drizzled with Bearnaise and Bordelaise sauce. It is served with a choice of soup or salad and a bread basket. Guests also can enjoy a free martini with their meal.
El Cortez serving vintage menus
The El Cortez, 600 Fremont St., is offering vintage dining and cocktail menus in honor of its 70th anniversary.
The cocktail menu will celebrate the history of mixology and educate guests on the origins of classic cocktails. It includes the side car, created in the 1920s; the mint julep, created in the 1700s and one of the country's oldest cocktails; the blood and sand, a drink from the 1930 premiere of a Rudolph Valentino film; and the aviation, a drink created in 1910 by the head bartender at the Hotel Wallick in New York.
The vintage dining menu features appetizers of oysters Rockefeller and escargot a la bourguignon; hearts of palm salad and asparagus salad; entrees of Tournedos of beef Rossini and chicken Kiev; and desserts of strawberries Romanoff and peach Melba.

Strip House to mark National Rainier Cherry Day
Strip House at Planet Hollywood, 3667 Las Vegas Blvd. South, is partnering with the Northwest Cherries' Tree-to-Table campaign and plans to add several items featuring Rainier cherries to its menu for one day only, National Rainier Cherry Day, Monday.
Tree-to-Table pairs one restaurant from each state in the country with 30 pounds of Rainier cherries and tasks them with creating a dish that showcases the cherries.
Strip House plans to serve a Rainier cherry amuse-bouche (puree of watermelon flesh, Rainier cherries, key lime juice, lime zest, simple syrup and mint) and double-cut, grilled pork chops coated in a special Rainier cherry and roasted garlic glaze, accompanied by a Rainier cherry chutney made with pitted cherries, caramelized garlic and shallots, red wine vinegar and fresh thyme.

Yukon Grille at Arizona Charlie's Boulder, 4575 Boulder Highway, is offering a three-course prix fixe menu for $15.95 per person with an ace I PLAY players card and $17.72 without a card on Thursdays and Sundays.
Entree choices are red curry ribs and coconut shrimp, which is a half slab of baby back ribs glazed with red curry barbecue sauce, served with fried coconut shrimp and seasoned fries; grilled swordfish with lemon, mint and basil, served with saffron rice and a seasonal vegetable; or top sirloin au poivre, dipped in crushed black pepper, pan sautéed and laced with a creamy brandy sauce, served with mashed potatoes and a seasonal vegetable.
Each entree is served with a choice of soup or salad and includes a spumoni sundae for dessert with espresso hot fudge sauce.

El Segundo Sol at the Fashion Show mall, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, plans to offer a Cooking Fiesta cooking glass from 10 a.m. to noon July 30.
Chef Terry Lynch will show participants how to prepare sweet corn, zucchini blossom, red chile quesadilla, duck breast tacos with red pipian sauce and Baby Blue Margarita with Curacao and blue salt. Recipes for the white sangria with summer melon, grapes and Riesling also will be shared. Dessert will be coconut flan.

Bernard's Bistro to present R.M.S. Titanic dinner event Thursdays
Bernard's Bistro, 15 Via Bel Canto in MonteLago Village at Lake Las Vegas, plans to offer an evening of first-class dining with a R.M.S. Titanic dinner event at 7 p.m. on Thursdays through the summer.
The multi-sensory production will spotlight the culinary mastery of French chef E. Bernard accompanied with sights, sounds, images and replicas of an era defined by elegance, fashion and fine food.
The menu will include items such as consummé olga, Titanic signature dish pear and Belgian endive watercress and Roquefort cheese in herb honey mustard dressing, champagne sorbet, poached salmon with mousseline caviar sauce topped with chives hollandaise and English cucumbers with asparagus and pommes vapeur.
Other main courses include braised filet mignon, lili with foie gras and lamb loin and rack of lamb with mint sauce.
The menu will change each Thursday.
