XL Airways will today resume seasonal service from McCarran

Discount French carrier XL Airways resumes its seasonal service to McCarran International Airport today , the only nonstop flights to Paris.

The service, launched last year, will run twice weekly through May 26. In 2010, XL carried more than 17,000 passengers in and out of Las Vegas, making it the smallest international carrier locally.

This year, XL has contracted its U.S. ticket sales to Air Promotion Group USA. CEO James Foster said sales are on target to reach a goal of 20 percent of XL's seats being purchased in this country, a higher number than last year although he did not reveal specifics. However, most of the tickets are for flights from New York, but he did not break out the numbers.
