Dillinger Escape Plan playing The Joint

The Dillinger Escape Plan sounds kind of like two bands fighting each other to the death in the parking lot of a Meshuggah gig. Their tunes are the equivalent of some seriously choppy ocean waters -- dangerous, menacing, constantly shifting into intimidating new forms. They've added more melodic flourishes in recent years with vocalist Greg Puciato employing touches of Mike Patton-esque singing, but that's just a little sugar to mask the taste of these dudes' aural arsenic.
