Police investigate homicide in east Las Vegas

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide in the east part of the valley.

Officers responded about 11:40 a.m. Monday to the 3800 block of James Paul Avenue, near East Sahara Avenue and South Sandhill Road, to reports that a male had been stabbed, police said.

They located a male who was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Metro’s homicide section will be responding to investigate.

Police said the scene is active and no other information is available at this time.
