Henderson Symphony Orchestra takes on international classics

The Henderson Symphony Orchestra continues its 24th season with Master Series III: International Classics at 8 p.m. Friday at the Henderson Convention Center, 200 S. Water St.

One hour before the performance, there will be a discussion hosted by the conductor and musical director Taras Krysa.

The performance is free, but a $10 donation is suggested to support the all-volunteer orchestra. Seating is on a first-come first-served basis.

The program will include Erik Satie's Gymnopedie Nos. 1 and 2; Hector Berlioz's "Les Nuits d'ete Op. 7," featuring soprano Arsenia de Soto; and Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story Symphonic Dances."
