Motorcyclist killed in North Las Vegas collision

A 24-year-old man was killed late Friday after his motorcycle collided with a Nissan Quest at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Casa Bonita Drive, just north of Gowan Road, according to North Las Vegas Police.

The Nissan, traveling south on Decatur at about 10:30 p.m., made a left turn onto Casa Bonita Drive in front of the motorcycle.

The cyclist struck the right side of the Nissan and was thrown 41 feet from the point of impact. He died at University Medical Center, according to police.

Police believe the 21-year-old driver of the Nissan was under the influence of prescription drugs and was driving too fast. He was uninjured.

The accident remains under investigation.
