Greg Hill scored 18 points and Valley High School product Hank Thorns 16 as Texas Christian snapped its 13-game losing streak with a 70-61 win over Wyoming in the Mountain West Conference tournament play-in game Wednesday at the Thomas & Mack Center.
The Horned Frogs (11-21) will face top-seeded Brigham Young today. TCU hadn't won since beating Wyoming 78-60 on Jan. 12.
J.R. Cadot added 13 points and 13 rebounds for the Horned Frogs.
Francisco Cruz led the Cowboys (10-21) with 14 points.
TCU jumped to an 11-point first-half lead, but Wyoming trimmed it to 27-24 by halftime. The Cowboys took their first lead, 42-41, on Joe Hudson's breakaway after Daylen Harrison stripped the ball from Thorns.
But the Horned Frogs responded with a 9-0 run sparked by Hill's 3-pointer and regained the lead for good.
