Coroner’s office identifies woman found dead after blaze

A woman who was found dead Sunday after a house fire was identified Tuesday by the Clark County coroner's office as Alice Kiyo Kitahara-Sepcic, 50.

Kitahara-Sepcic's cause and manner of death has not been determined by the coroner's office.

County spokesman Dan Kulin said firefighters were alerted at 5:20 p.m. to the blaze at the two-story home at 1795 Mount Hood St. near Owens Avenue.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and flames at the rear of the home. The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes.

A cat also died in the fire. The damage was estimated at $50,000. The cause of the fire was unknown Tuesday.
