DINING: Irish pancakes; Central comes to Las Vegas

Hash House A Go Go is celebrating National Pancake Week next week with a special Irish-oatmeal, butterscotch-chip and almond pancake served from Monday (March 7) through March 13. A portion of sales will benefit the St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer. The housemade pancakes will be served at breakfast, brunch and lunch at the three valley locations, which are at 6800 W. Sahara Ave., the Imperial Palace at 3535 Las Vegas Blvd. South, and at the M Resort at 12300 Las Vegas Blvd. South in Henderson. ...
And Caesars Palace, 3570 Las Vegas Blvd. South, has announced that Central 24/7, from James Beard Award-winning chef Michel Richard, will take over the current Augustus Cafe space in the late summer. It will be a take on his Central in Washington, D.C., and will feature "American favorites with a French accent" such as razor clam chowder and fresh oysters in addition to burgers, seafood, fried chicken and a whole lot more. ...
