Warriors use big fourth quarter to pull away from Suns

Brian Chase scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half to help Golden State defeat Phoenix 86-76 in the second game of the day at the NBA Vegas Summer League at Cox Pavilion.
The Warriors outscored the Suns 22-13 in the fourth quarter to pull away.
Reggie Williams added 18 points for Golden State before departing with an injury in the second quarter, and Andre Brown had 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Zabian Dowdell paced Phoenix with 18 points. Earl Clark added 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.

Continuing to impress

Former Utah forward Kim Tillie continues to impress with his hustle at the summer league.
After finding out just the day before the league began that he would be playing for Golden State, Tillie has worked himself into the starting rotation and finished Thursday’s game with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
He signed a contract with a team in France, but says he will have to strongly considering staying in the U.S. to fulfill his dream of playing in the NBA if he is offered a guaranteed contract by some team.

Williams hurt

Reggie Williams was well on his way to one of the most impressive offensive performances of the summer league when he suffered a right hamstring injury in the second quarter and had to sit the rest of the game.
Williams, who still has the highest scoring average at the event this week, had already put up 18 points when he went down.
The guy certainly knows how to put the ball in the basket.
He led the nation in scoring two consecutive seasons while at VMI.

Family affair

Taylor Griffin is playing for the Suns, while Kashif Watson is in action for Warriors.
Both are trying to make it to where their brothers have already reached.
Those siblings were courtside to watch the action.
Kashif’s older brother C.J. blended in with the crowd and watched his brother struggle.
Taylor’s little brother Blake was rocking his Clippers shorts and t-shirt and was far easier to spot in the same section.

What could this mean?

A flood of people just came into the arena.
It could mean one of two things.
Either a whole bunch of UNR fans made the trip down from Reno to watch JaVale McGee play, or it's time for John Wall to take the court again.
I'm guessing it's the latter.
Wall, McGee and the Wizards will take on Dallas, while Atlanta and Milwaukee square off over at the Mack.
