Career Highlights:
■ The point guard averaged 5.5 points and 5.1 assists in 59 career games at UNLV.
■ The Rebels went 23-9 and reached the NIT Final Four in his second of three seasons.
■ Injured in a car accident early in his junior year, he later transferred to Azusa Pacific University in California.

Currently: Loyd lives in Las Vegas and has three sons. Michael Jr. and Kevin play college basketball, and Johnathan, a senior at Bishop Gorman, recently signed with Oregon.
