Plane makes emergency landing near California-Nevada state line — PHOTOS

A small plane made an emergency landing on northbound Interstate 15 near the state line Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The pilot of the 1974 Cessna Skyline was flying the plane from Van Nuys, California, to Las Vegas when an engine issue forced the plane’s emergency landing.

The plane touched down on the highway near Nipton, California, around 10:48 a.m. The four people on the plane were not injured, and the aircraft was not damaged.

Two lanes of the highway were closed while the plane was moved off the road.
