Flower arrangers attend special event in San Francisco

Several members of the Nevada Chapter of the Ikenobo Ikebana Society recently traveled to San Francisco to attend the 42nd anniversary celebration of that city's chapter.

During their visit, the devotees of the Japanese art of flower arranging met with dignitaries and top instructors. They also participated in a workshop and were given instruction at their respective class levels.

The local chapter will expand on its San Francisco experience during the organization's next workshop, scheduled for Feb. 13, 15 and 16.

Fresh flowers are used to create their designs.
