A deal worth driving for?

Operators of the three Primm Valley casinos are banking that Clark County residents will be willing to drive 45 minutes for a free night’s stay.

Through Dec. 31, the properties, operated by financially troubled Herbst Gaming, are offering anyone with valid Clark County resident identification, a free night’s stay at either Buffalo Bill’s, Whisky Pete’s or the Primm Valley Resort.

In addition, the casinos are throwing in two all-day attraction passes valid for Primm’s Desperado Rollercoaster and other thrill rides, and two tickets to “Sin City Kitties,” a burlesque cabaret show inside the Whiskey Pete’s showroom.

There are some restrictions that aren't listed on the release announcing the deal. But with the casinos’ Web sites listing rooms for as low as $14.95 a night at midweek and with the company admitting it has been having trouble attracting guests to Primm, the rules can’t be too restrictive.
