FBI, Las Vegas police looking for armed robbery suspect

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of an armed robbery suspect who fled Friday morning after an arrest attempt.

Las Vegas police and the FBI said the man should be considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities have identified the man as 33-year-old Scott Wyatt Peterson. According to the FBI, he fled from officers and agents Friday morning. His vehicle was found near Russell Road and Swenson Street.

Authorities described Peterson as white, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall, and 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tattoos on his body and has a scar on his left ankle.

Peterson is a suspect in numerous robberies committed throughout Las Vegas from Nov. 1 to Monday. A federal arrest warrant was issued Wednesday.

The FBI asks that anyone with information about Peterson contact the agency at 702-385-1281 or 911.
