Company founder will not seek to keep seat

Larry Woodrum, the founding CEO of a predecessor of Western Alliance Corp., advised that he doesn't intend to seek re-election to the Western Alliance board, the holding company announced Monday.

Woodrum was CEO when BankWest of Nevada started operations in 1994.

The planned merger of affiliated real estate investment trusts Vestin Realty Mortgage II and Vestin Realty Mortgage I has been delayed.

The trusts, managed by Mike Shustek's Vestin Group, make short-term development loans secured by real estate.

James Townsend, chief operating officer of Vestin Group, said the delay stems from unfavorable business conditions.

Bailey Kennedy, a law firm, named Tim Geswein associate attorney.

The Valentino Restaurant Group named Connie Pennacchio sales and marketing manager of Giorgio Ristorante E Caffe inside Mandalay Place.

Jaynes Corp., a general contracting company, named John Christofferson and Brandon Bolstad project engineers and David McCafferty project manager.

Lawyer Kristin Tyler joined the Law Offices of Oshins & Associates.
