Readers find taste of Montreal in valley

Here's something else sought by a reader that most of us -- including yours truly -- didn't know was available in Southern Nevada: Montreal smoked meat, a request from Bob France.

Gary Snyder and Patty Dorogi both recommended Old Tyme Deli, 4300 E. Sunset Road in Henderson, with Dorogi adding, "the sandwiches are huge and the best in town." Dorothy Hubbard suggested Fanny's Bistro & Deli at 80 N. Pecos Road in Henderson.

And Chuck Portigal suggested www.lestersdeli.com in Montreal itself (or call 866-LESTERS, or 866-537-8377), adding, "it's the best of the Montreal smoked meat scene." ...

For Cindy Coletti, Helen Biegel said she found Fleischmann's Margarine Unsalted Sticks at Food 4 Less at 4001 S. Decatur Blvd., adding that she suggests Coletti call first -- always a good idea. ...
