Real estate program to cover project design

The commercial real-estate certification program's 2007 series will cover project design in its next course, running 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 5 at the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors office, 1750 E. Sahara Ave.

The Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will present the course with the Southern Nevada chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties and the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.

Cost is $95 per course or $760 for the nine-course package. Call 895-4492 for information.

CommPartners, an Internet protocol network company, named Gregory Roeper president.

Before joining CommPartners, Roeper was president and chief executive officer of Vodavi Technology, a telecommunications systems provider that in 2006 was acquired by Vertical Communications.

The March of Dimes, a nonprofit group, named Richard Veitz Western region National Office of Volunteers chairman. He is executive vice president and chief community banking officer of Nevada State Bank.
