At least one person is dead after a crash near Carson City early Sunday morning, according to Nevada Highway Patrol’s accident monitoring site.

The crash happened just after 2 a.m. on northbound Interstate 580, about 12 miles north of the capital.

Calls to NHP were not immediately returned.
