Springs Preserve hosts electric vehicle event

As part of National Drive Electric Week, an event will be staged at the Las Vegas Springs Preserve parking lot Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Today’s event will be held under a photovoltaic solar canopy that tracks the sun during the day while providing electric power to two ChargePoint electric car recharging stations.

Autonomous electric shuttle bus service debuts in Las Vegas

The city of Las Vegas is partnering with Navya, a French company that builds autonomous electric shuttle buses, and Keolis, a public transportation company, to offer a driverless shuttle bus pilot program. The bus will service the newly created Innovation District on the East Fremont Street corridor downtown. This will be the first autonomous car program to be implemented on a public transportation system anywhere in the U.S.

The Motor Trend International Auto Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center has been a Thanksgiving weekend family tradition for years.
