Cadillacs Under the Stars tonight at Village Square
September 23, 2017 - 8:00 am
Cadillacs Under the Stars, a colorful car show sponsored by Findlay Cadillac, will take center stage from 6-10 p.m. Saturday at Village Square shopping center at Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road.
Presented by the Cadillac &LaSalle Club of Las Vegas, the event is expected to draw as many as 100 Cadillacs and will feature classic Cadillacs, including new and modified entries that will be on display. The event is free to register and show a Cadillac.
Club president D.R. Rawson said the allure of the Cadillac automobile is unmatched.
“Cadillacs were once considered ‘The Standard of the World,’” Rawson said. “Today, we can certainly say that they are the design of the design standard of the world. The average age of a buyer has gone down more than 10 years over the past five years.
“Cadillacs are just cool. The older ones go down the road like you’re on a floating pillow. The design is so distinctive. The most iconic car in the world is the 1959 Cadillac with its tail fins and bullet-like tail lights,” he added.
“This show is really going to be an impressive gathering,” said John Saksa, general manager of Findlay Cadillac. “Cadillac car shows are always fun, and this one will be especially impressive, since it will be under the lights, thereby showing off the designs of the Cadillac.”
The Cadillac &LaSalle Club meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month at the Blue Ox at 5825 W. Sahara Ave. from 6-7 p.m.
Free to the public, the show will also feature music and raffle tickets supporting Toys 4 Smiles. Further information can be found by visiting www.lasvegasclc.com or by calling 702-701-0378.
