Findlay Lincoln covers the gamut with exciting lineup

Founded in 1917, Lincoln Motor Co. has a rich history that became a part of Findlay Automotive Group in 2004.
With a line that includes three crossover utility vehicles (the MKT, MKX and MKC) along with a sport utility vehicle (Navigator and Navigator L) and luxury vehicles that are highlighted by the Continental and MKZ sedans, Findlay Lincoln has the gamut covered at 310 N. Gibson Road in the Valley Automall.
The Lincoln product appeals to all age groups. In fact, sales in the United States have continued to rise with increases of 16 percent in 2014, 7 percent in 2015 and 10 percent in 2016.
Lincoln isn’t slowing down its strong pace, either. Highly recognized for its expertise in the luxury automobile business, the company has lengthened its reach and widened its scope. No one has witnessed the positive vibes more than Findlay Lincoln General Manager Nathan Findlay.
“Lincoln has done an incredible job of moving forward with state-of-the-art equipment and modern-day philosophies,” said Findlay, a fifth-generation Nevadan.
For instance, the 2017 Lincoln Continental has been equipped with unconventional door handles tucked into the chrome strip that runs beneath the windows. The doors are opened by pressing a button and an electric latch does the rest of the work.”
Findlay said the midsize ’17 Continental has conventional styling. Its new grille mimics the Lincoln badge and it boasts an entirely new body. The revival of the Continental, which was part of Lincoln from 1939 until 2002, has been met with open arms.
“Our cars are made from the ground up with the customer viewpoint and expectations in mind,” Findlay said. “What everything all comes down to now is the functionality of the vehicle and the information generated by consumer focus groups. It’s the treatment given to the customer that is of the utmost in importance. We are moving forward with the philosophy that whatever the customer wants, we will make it happen to the best of our ability.
“We are breaking from the norm by catering and customizing every interaction based on what the customer’s wants and needs are individually.”
One example, according to Findlay, is bringing the vehicle, along with materials needed, to the customer’s home.
“We now can do an entire deal at someone’s home,” he said. “It’s that simple.”
Findlay said customers are dedicated and loyal to the Lincoln product lines.
“We have buyers who have purchased the Lincoln line for many years,” he said. “The record speaks for itself, as evidenced by the fact that Lincoln has now been a part of the automobile industry for a rock-solid 100 years.”
Findlay recently attended an impressive Lincoln Motor Co. seminar entitled Lincoln Way Intensive in Detroit, where future services and features were highlighted.
“This was the most intensive management team building that I have ever attended,” Findlay said. “They gave us insight and information not only from the most successful brands, but also luxury customers — and what they want.
“It was like we were back in school again. It was 48 hours of immersion in the future of the Lincoln brand and provided insight from top luxury businesses as well as luxury consumers, clients and customers. It was very enlightening and informative and, in fact, it required so much of our concentration that we didn’t even have cell service.”
The key words shared at the seminar included honesty, sincerity and transparency.
“I will never forget the experience of attending Lincoln Way Intensive,” Findlay said. “It was not what I was expecting, and we all learned so much.”
Findlay Lincoln is part of Findlay Automotive Group founded in 1961 by the late Pete Findlay, whose son, Cliff, now oversees 28 automobile dealerships in Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Utah and Oregon.
