Booking data show Las Vegas No. 2 destination for Thanksgiving

Las Vegas will be popular this Thanksgiving.

Using booking data for travel between Nov. 4 and Nov. 30, CheapOair found that Las Vegas is the No. 2 destination for travel during the 2013 Thanksgiving holiday.

Las Vegas comes in just behind New York, which has an average roundtrip airfare of $345, down 9 percent from last year. Las Vegas’ average roundtrip airfare is $307 this year for the holiday, up 2 percent from 2012.

Rounding out the top five destinations, in order, are Orlando, Fla.; Denver; and Chicago.
