A boost for Massachusetts casinos?

Wall Street is still wagering on gambling expansion.
The Boston Globe is reporting this morning that Massachusetts Speaker of the House Salvatore DiMasi will resign from the state's House of Representatives on Tuesday over ethics issues.
Deutsche Bank gaming analyst Bill Lerner saw the news as good for casino proponents in the state. The Massachusetts governor has proposed legalizing casinos as a way of boosting tax revenues.
“Given Mr. DiMasi's historic opposition to expanded gaming in Massachusetts, we think this departure makes it more likely that gaming expansion could occur during this, or future, legislative sessions,” he told investors this morning.
