Casino jobs available – in Colorado

Las Vegas based-Golden Gaming is holding a job fair next week to fill 35 casino positions.

There's one catch, though. The jobs are at the company’s three casinos in Black Hawk, Colo., which is about 38 miles west of Denver.

The Golden Mardi Gras Casino, Golden Gates Casino and Golden Gulch Casino operate a combined 1,250 slot machines, nine blackjack tables and 12 poker tables.

Legislation passed recently in Colorado allows for increased wagering limits. Casinos now can add craps and roulette games and can now stay open 24 hours.

Golden Gaming is looking for experienced craps dealers, table games supervisors and managers, surveillance operators and supervisors and casino cage supervisors.

The job fair will take place Wednesday, April 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, April 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Golden Gaming corporate offices at 6595 South Jones Boulevard.

In a statement, Golden Gaming said it would educate dealers on Colorado gaming regulations.

“As one of the few gaming markets expected to grow in 2009, Colorado offers a beautiful, picturesque environment and a high quality of life for those taking jobs in the area,” according to the statement.
