A billboard for MGM Mirage’s MGM Grand Detroit has caused a stir in the
Motor City.
The billboard depicts a huge pair of golden eyes on a black background,
with a small golden silhouette of the company’s signature lion on the
sign's upper right-hand side.
One local pastor said the eyes resemble Satan. A Detroit councilwoman wants
the billboard removed, calling it sinister.
MGM Mirage spokeswoman Yvette Monet said the sign was for a “teaser” ad
campaign.
"We're excited to hear the ad is generating some buzz, because that's
exactly what our intent is," Monet told the Detroit News.
