Mr, Murren, meet Mr. Benedict

Murren still not at home in new office yet

Jim Murren has the title and responsibilities, but he doesn’t yet have the office.

Murren, who replaced Terry Lanni on Dec. 1 as the chairman and chief executive officer of MGM Mirage, hasn’t moved into Lanni’s former office at the Bellagio. Murren still occupies his spacious digs across the hall that signifies his other titles — president and chief operating officer.

When he does move into the CEO’s office, he will become its fourth occupant following Lanni, Terry Benedict and Bellagio developer Steve Wynn.

Terry Benedict?

In the George Clooney-Brad Pitt remake of “Ocean’s Eleven,” Terry Benedict, portrayed by Andy Garcia, is the fictional owner of the Bellagio, the Strip resort targeted for a multimillion-dollar heist. Scenes for the movie were shot in the office.
