New stock symbol for Galaxy Gaming

Table game provider Galaxy Gaming is now traded under the symbol GLXZ on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board, the Las Vegas-based company announced today.

The new symbol finalizes the company’s reverse merger with a financial firm earlier this year.

“This event represents the final step in the transformation of Galaxy Gaming from a private company into a public one,” Galaxy Chief Executive Officer Robert Saucier said in a statement.

Galaxy Gaming offers casinos side wagers for blackjack and pai gow poker and two proprietary, nontraditional table games. The company's products are on 1,500 gaming tables, making Galaxy Gaming the No. 2 table game provider behind Shuffle Master.

In a story in the Review-Journal in March, company officials were working toward completing a public offering in which it would raise $800,000. Galaxy planned to list 2 million shares on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board. The proceeds from the offering will help expand the company's distribution network into additional casino markets throughout North America.
