Caesars suspending all live ticketed entertainment
All ticketed live entertainment at Caesars Entertainment Corp. venues will be suspended.
The move goes into effect Sunday evening through March 31, a Sunday morning statement from the company said. Refunds and exchanges for affected dates are available at the point of purchase.
The company’s entertainment offerings include Gwen Stefani: Just a Girl, Criss Angel Mindfreak and Penn and Teller, among others.
“We are taking these bold measures now and look forward to welcoming guests back to enjoy world-class entertainment experiences as soon as we are able. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through these challenging circumstances,” the statement said.
This follows the cancellation of other events in recent days. “Opium,” a Spiegelworld production at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, is suspended indefinitely. Cirque du Soleil is halting all of its shows on the Strip. Hakkasan Group — which has names like Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris in its DJ lineup — has also temporarily halted business.
Other Caesars properties have shut down entirely in recent days; the operator has had four of its Midwestern casinos closed by order of the Illinois Gaming Board and the Indiana Gaming Commission in a bid to slow the virus.
