Galaxy Gaming receives approval to do business in Maryland

Galaxy Gaming Inc., a Las Vegas-based developer and manufacturer of casino products, has received approval from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency to do business in the state.

“Recent legislation now allows live table games in Maryland, which makes this a very attractive market for us,” Dean Barnett, regional sales manager for Galaxy Gaming, said Wednesday. “This is a rapidly growing market with 12 casinos now operational or planned.”

Galaxy Gaming also received approval this month from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board to do business with local casinos.

Hollywood Casino, which is operated by Penn National Gaming Inc., is the first casino to include Galaxy’s casino products. Galaxy Gaming’s product line includes casino table games, enhanced game systems and e-Tables.

The company expects to introduce such games as Lucky Ladies, Texas Shootout, Bonus Craps and High Card Flush into the Maryland gaming market.

“Maryland is a solid market and our expansion into the state solidifies our presences in the growing Atlantic Coast gaming industry and will contribute to our increasing global recurring revenue base,” Robert Saucier, CEO of Galaxy Gaming, said in a statement.
