Galaxy Gaming turns around last year’s third-quarter loss

Las Vegas-based Galaxy Gaming reversed a third quarter net loss from a year ago thanks to increased table game sales.

The company, which sells table games and various table game wagering enhancements, said its net profit in the period that ended Sept. 30 was $129,000, compared with a loss of $221,000 in the same quarter a year ago.

Galaxy's net revenues increased 155 percent to $1.87 million, based on the sales of new table game titles recently added through acquisitions.

"We continue to capitalize on the high demand for our products, as was demonstrated by the positive response we received at the Global Gaming Exhibition in October," Galaxy Gaming Chief Executive Officer Robert Saucier said in a statement. "Subsequently, we accumulated a backlog of orders, which could propel our upward momentum into 2013."
