March 5, 2012 - 4:35 pm
A Las Vegas casino management company has applied with state regulators to take over gaming operations at the off-Strip Westin Las Vegas on East Flamingo Road.
The 18,000 square foot Casuarina Casino now has 262 slot machines and eight table games. The hotel operations will remain under current management.
The Westin would mark 777's first casino management contract in Las Vegas and seventh in Nevada. The company managed casinos in Elko, Winnemucca, Hawthorne and Spring Creek in 2010. 777 Gaming owns the Best Western Carson Station in Carson City.Contact reporter Howard Stutz at hstutz@reviewjournal.com or 702-477-3871.
