Marilyn Spiegel steps down as president of Wynn Las Vegas, Encore

Wynn Resorts Ltd. announced Friday that Marilyn Spiegel will step down as president of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore to work on design and development of company projects, including proposed resorts in Philadelphia and Boston.

“In Marilyn’s two-year tenure with us, our Las Vegas resorts have achieved their highest combined revenues,” Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts, said in a statement. “This realignment of our most valuable resource, our people, will help put our company on the path for financial growth in Las Vegas, as well as outside of Las Vegas, for years to come.”

Wynn named Maurice Wooden, former chief operating officer of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, president. Timothy Poster, who served as executive vice president of strategy and development for Wynn Resorts, was named chief operating officer.
