Slot machine maker WMS Industries buys Swedish Internet gaming company

Slot machine maker WMS Industries increased its capabilities to provide Internet gaming content and technology by acquiring a Swedish online casino content company.

In a statement Monday, the Waukegan, Ill.-based company did not disclose the financial terms for acquiring Jadestone Group AB but said the transaction was funded from cash.

WMS said the deal allows the slot machine manufacturer to augment and enhance its existing portfolio of Internet gaming content, online products and distribution capabilities for casinos expanding in the Internet market.

Jadestone, which has been operating since 2002, provides content and services for some of the largest Internet gaming companies in Europe, including Betfair and bwin.party.
