Las Vegas Winter Market
The Las Vegas Winter Market returns Sunday, and organizers expect a “terrific” performance as signs point to a trade show that will be back to its pre-pandemic level.
The Las Vegas Market Summer 2022 has announced their People’s Choice winners for its Market Snapshot award show. The trade show continues through Thursday.
Though some issues have eased, designers and suppliers at biannual trade show say they’re still waiting on shipments.
While Las Vegas Market organizers expect to draw about 60 percent of the attendance it had in pre-pandemic years, many vendors are finding that those who are in town have been spending more.
The biannual Las Vegas Market trade show — which gathers buyers and hundreds of vendors — kicked off Sunday and runs through Thursday with pandemic-era masking requirements.
“Businesses of the buyers are just off the charts good and they need inventory. They need new merchandise,” Bob Maricich, CEO of International Market Centers, said of the home furnishings show.

With conventiongoers and visitors beginning to return to Las Vegas, one restaurant at World Market Center is showing glimmers of a strong recovery.
Vendors and buyers at the downtown Las Vegas event welcomed the show as a sign of recovery and a step toward normalcy.
Buyers are drawn to sleeker, freestanding styles, along with sleek sink basins.
Southern California architect Christopher Mercier, in town this week for the Las Vegas Market furniture and home-decor expo, gave a presentation Tuesday at the convention. He spoke with the Las Vegas Review-Journal afterward about the local architectural landscape.

Las Vegas, with its fast-cash image and anything-goes real estate market, has long been a popular place to flip houses . A lengthy menu of home-flipping reality television shows has also fueled interest in the get-rich-quick tactic, and the stars of “Desert Flippers” were in town Monday to talk about it.
Many celebrities who visit the Las Vegas Market are best known by serious home decor enthusiasts. But some are recognizable even to those who take, maybe, a more utilitarian view of furniture, bedding and the accoutrements of home design.
